Sanjay Deshpande, the visionary behind MindShift Partners, has built a career navigating the complexities of some of the world’s most demanding industries. Before founding MindShift, Sanjay held key roles at global firms like UBS Financial Services Inc., Cybernetica Consulting, and Marine Midland Bank (HSBC), each time transforming challenges into groundbreaking solutions.
During his 24 years at UBS, Sanjay was integral to the bank’s success in a number of roles. He engineered cutting-edge offshore development programs and implemented an elite risk management framework that became the backbone of UBS’ Wealth Management Products & Services division. This framework supported a network of nearly 6,000 financial advisors delivering unparalleled investment solutions across the globe. Sanjay brings deep expertise in navigating regulations and understanding control requirements including interactions with regulators. UBS’ broad and diverse product range provided Sanjay with the tools and knowledge to address a wide variety of needs, ensuring clients stay compliant and proactive. All of his experience and expertise is completely focused on supporting your firm’s growth.
As partner and owner of Cybernetica Consulting, Inc., he generated and managed consulting engagements across the entire client life cycle. He led high-stakes projects that reshaped cost reduction, cycle time reduction, customer service improvement and process efficiency. Sanjay’s rich and varied background includes financial modeling, operations, and engineering. At Marine Midland Bank, he developed projection and valuation models, as well as bond rating models, demonstrating a strong foundation in analytical and strategic decision-making. His time at Harris Corporation in factory automation further highlights his versatile skill set and ability to bridge technical expertise with client-focused solutions.
Personal
Sanjay was born in Brooklyn, NY, to parents who were part of the earliest wave of Indian immigrants to the United States. His hometown is the community he and his future wife would later choose to raise their own children. Sanjay’s roots run deep in a commitment to family, community, and growth.
Sanjay holds a BS from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an MBA from Columbia University, and he brings over 35 years of diverse experience in building and managing financial and operational systems across multiple industries. With deep expertise and a reputation for comprehensive integrated thinking, Sanjay leads MindShift Partners in innovation and efficiency.
His approach is rooted in personal depth, analytical dexterity, and a passion for creating connected, profitable futures for the businesses he serves.
Beyond his professional expertise, Sanjay and his family are deeply committed to their community. He served for nine years on the school board in his neighborhood, where his wife also served as president and vice president of the PTA. For Sanjay, shaping a better future for the next generation is not just a guiding principle—it’s the foundation of his work and his life.
